In 2024, GoBia Ltd achieved a significant reduction in waste intensity, decreasing from 0.0200 t/t of product in 2023 to 0.0144 t/t. This performance exceeded the milestone target by 42.2% and reflects the company’s strong focus on operational efficiency and sustainable production practices.

Three key initiatives supported this achievement. First, the company implemented a pallet reuse system, reducing the need for new materials and lowering packaging waste. Second, large bins were introduced to improve food waste collection and segregation, streamlining waste handling processes. Third, GoBia Ltd installed a cream plant to increase the processing of cream, enabling the recovery of milk fat and reducing waste from dairy inputs.

Due to being significantly ahead of target, GoBia Ltd has reprojected its waste intensity target using the 2024 performance as a new baseline. The company now aims to reduce waste intensity further by the end of the current Origin Green Plan. This forward-looking adjustment demonstrates GoBia’s commitment to continuous improvement and long-term sustainability.
