Kepak Group made significant progress in 2024 toward its supplier sustainability goals, underpinned by its “Forward Together with Every Step” approach—a philosophy that ensures every initiative contributes to long-term resilience and collaboration.

Raw material conformance with Sustainable Sourcing Policies increased from 91% in 2023 to 94% in 2024, outperforming the milestone target by 19%.

This achievement was driven by strong collaboration and continuous improvement across Kepak’s supply chain. Of the company’s 187 suppliers, 175 held recognised sustainability certifications or policies, including ISO 14001, ISO 50001, Sedex, Origin Green verification, RSPO, FSC, and Ecovadis. Kepak also enhanced its supplier questionnaire to align with evolving customer and regulatory requirements, reinforcing transparency and accountability.

Farmer engagement through the Twenty20 Beef Club advanced significantly, with consultations on agri-sustainability practices increasing from 0% in 2023 to 18.2% in 2024—exceeding the milestone by 8.2%. Kepak contributed to a national Steering Committee to develop a Regenerative Agriculture Framework, which included a definition, measurement tool, and implementation guide to support farmers in adopting regenerative practices.

The Club now represents a 25% lower carbon footprint than the National SBLAS average, demonstrating Kepak’s leadership in climate-smart agriculture. In addition, Kepak contributed to a national Steering Committee to develop a Regenerative Agriculture Framework, including a definition, measurement tool, and implementation guide to support farmers in adopting regenerative practices.

These achievements exemplify Kepak’s belief that sustainability is a shared journey. Through “Forward Together with Every Step,” Kepak empowers suppliers and farmers to innovate, adapt, and thrive while reducing environmental impact and enhancing community wellbeing.
